What this site collects, what it does not, and who else is involved.
This Site does not use cookies, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and has no forms. The Firm does not collect personal information from you through the Site unless you choose to send an email to an address published on it.
Information you send. If you email the Firm at an address published on the Site, the Firm receives whatever you put in that message — your email address, your name, and anything else you write. Please read the Terms of Use before sending anything: information sent before an attorney-client relationship exists is not confidential and does not conflict the Firm out of a matter.
Do not send regulated data. Do not transmit protected health information (HIPAA), student education records (FERPA), nonpublic personal financial information (Gramm-Leach-Bliley), or any other material under a statutory, regulatory or court-ordered confidentiality obligation to the Firm through this Site or by ordinary email. Contact the Firm first and it will arrange a secure method of transfer.
Server logs. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly all web hosting, that service records ordinary technical information about requests, which can include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. The Firm uses this only for security and to keep the Site running, and does not use it to build a profile of you.
What the Firm does not collect. No cookies are set by this Site. There is no analytics, advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking. There are no contact forms, no accounts and no logins.
Hosting. The Site is hosted and maintained on the Firm's behalf by Unlabs LLC using Cloudflare's platform. Cloudflare processes requests to the Site and handles them under its own terms.
Web fonts. Pages on the Site load a typeface from Google Fonts. Making that request discloses your IP address to Google. If you would rather that did not happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com in your browser will not otherwise affect the Site.
Email. Email sent to the Firm is received through Google Workspace and is handled under Google's terms as a processor for the Firm.
The Firm does not sell personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not disclose it to third parties except to the service providers named above, where you have asked the Firm to, or where the law requires it.
Email correspondence is kept for as long as the Firm needs it for the purpose it was sent and to meet its professional and records-retention obligations. Server logs are kept for the short period the hosting provider retains them.
You can use the Site without sending the Firm anything. If you have emailed the Firm and would like that correspondence deleted, write to intake@tweak.law and the Firm will do so unless it is required to keep it — for example, where it relates to a matter the Firm is handling or to a conflicts record.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over personal information, such as rights of access, correction or deletion. Write to the address below and the Firm will respond as the applicable law requires.
The Site is not directed to children and the Firm does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
The Firm maintains a written information security program covering records that contain personal information, in both paper and electronic form, as required of persons holding such information about Massachusetts residents. The program is reviewed at least annually and whenever the Firm makes a material change to its practices. Its contents are internal and are not published, for the obvious reason that a description of a party's security controls is of most use to someone trying to defeat them.
No website or email system is completely secure, and ordinary email in particular is not a secure channel — which is a further reason not to send sensitive or regulated material before an engagement is in place and a secure method has been arranged.
The Firm may update this policy. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
